Terms of Service

Last updated: May 22, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of PermitPilot ("the Service"), operated by PermitPilot ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

PermitPilot is a software tool that helps restaurant operators track permits, certifications, and compliance deadlines. The Service surfaces reminders and stores documents you upload. It is a tracking tool, not a regulatory authority, law firm, or licensed compliance consultant.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload content you don't have the right to share.
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not use the Service to violate any law or regulation.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy for details.

5. Data and content

You retain ownership of all data you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your data.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PermitPilot does not guarantee regulatory compliance, the completeness of any jurisdiction's permit list, the accuracy of third-party data, or that any reminder will be delivered on time. Always confirm requirements with the issuing agency. See our Compliance Disclaimer for details.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including fines, lost revenue, or missed renewals.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from settings.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
